Megan McCay

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate based in Kitsap county, working with individuals and couples.

My individual therapy work focuses on trauma, supporting first responders, and people navigating high stress environments. As a military veteran and the spouse of a first responder, I understand the culture of service and the weight that can come with being the one others rely on. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma exposure, or the cumulative stress that builds over time.

In my couples therapy work, I help partners improve communication, work through conflict, and better understand each other- especially when stress or life tranisitons begin to create distance in the relationship.

I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are, whether that means working through difficult experiences, challenging patterns of negative self-talk, or making sense of a life transition.

In the therapy room, I'm laid back and approachable, while also holding space for the moments that matter most.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy chai tea, spending time with my family, walks outside, laughter, reading, and sunshine.

My therapeutic approach

I offer a calm, supportive space for adults and couples carrying stress, trauma, and relationship challenges. I take a client-centered approach, meeting you where you are while helping you reconnect with yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward your goals.

I integrate EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy to support meaningul change. Many of my clients are first responders or in other helping professions. I provide culturally informed care that honors the realities of the job; shift work, critical incidents, operational stress, and the impact on family life.
